Youth Corps Singapore champions youth volunteerism and is a national institution that empowers and supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community.
We are a movement of young people with strong esprit de corps and service ethos to ignite positive change in society.
In making a difference, we harness the optimism of young people, the passion of community partners, and the transformative power of service learning.
Youth Corps Singapore provides breadth and depth of volunteering opportunities for youths during and beyond their school days.
As members, youths can look forward to participate in a wide range of community service events and/or regular volunteering programmes.
In addition, members who are keen to develop themselves as Leaders and work on service-learning projects can join the Youth Corps Leaders Programme.
With effect from 1 April 2016, Youth Expedition Project (YEP), the youth development programme which offers youths the opportunity to embark on overseas service-learning projects, is also part of Youth Corps Singapore.

Youth Corps Singapore is open to youths from all walks of society regardless of academic background. Potential Youth Corps Members should be:
Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents aged 16 to 35 years old residing in Singapore;
Passionate about community service;
Team players with a desire to learn.
Those between 15 and 35 years old are considered youth by the National Youth Council.
Youths will have to register themselves as a Youth Corps Member here before they are able to sign up for Youth Corps Singapore community service events. As a Youth Corps Member, youths will be able to discover and apply for the various community service events.
Regular volunteering programmes are meant to provide an avenue for youths who are looking for regular interaction with the beneficiaries. In addition, through sector-specific trainings and interaction with beneficiaries, youth volunteers will be able to attain in-depth knowledge and skills about the sector that they are volunteering in.
For effective engagement with the beneficiaries, there is a minimum of 6 months commitment. Members who sign up for the regular programmes are expected to commit to the sessions within the 6-month period. Members who wish to continue volunteering after the 6 months may do so by informing us.
There is no selection process for regular volunteering programmes but an orientation for new members. Regular volunteering opportunities are open to all Members who are interested, and able to commit for that particular period.
We aim to develop lifelong leaders of change who ignite transformation in the society by catalysing collaboration between youth, community service organisations and the wider society.

Belonging to Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the renowned red box was a representation of Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards improving the lives of Singaporeans and creating a better Singapore. Similarly, Youth Corps Singapore encourages youths to embody the same spirit of our founding generation - ‘service to the community’ and ‘commitment’, while using The Red Box to rally young Singaporeans to gather, exchange ideas and co-create solutions to serve the community, and make Singapore a better home for all.
