Social Gifting is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise registered under raiSE. We provide free crafting lessons to differently-abled crafters and Charity organisations such as Lions Befrienders, Rainbow Centre and more. Apart from providing free crafting lessons, we also provide materials and crafting ideas to them. As such, there is no cost incurred on the crafters' and Charity organisations’ end. When the crafts are sold, part of the proceeds (I.e.50% of the sales price) will go to the crafters.

Brief Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the staff to expand Social Gifting business, manage ad-hoc projects, and work with Singapore University Social Sciences students to research on business development.

This position is responsible for creating videos for our social media. The intern will assist to shoot footages of our performances and behind-the-scenes; video small events with partners; brainstorm creative ideas for social media and edit footages.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Handle day-to-day filming and editing of videos for different informal/format events, as well as live performances and behind-the-scenes
2) Work closely with Project Manager to generate creative ideas and create fun video content to boost brand social media presence (Youtube/Instagram/Tik Tok)
3) Familiar, or willing to experiment with editing simple music and graphics to be included in the videos

Sexual Health Outreach Intern (Project X Society)

Brief Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Outreach and Sexual Health Team with reaching out to sex and entertainment workers in Singapore. The intern is expected to conduct outreach both physically and virtually. The intern will also assist in encouraging sexual health self testing, and help develop appropriate collaterals to do so.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Together with the outreach team, conduct physical and online outreach to sex and entertainment workers in order to introduce them to our organisation and the services we provide
2) Welcome workers who drop by our centre to seek help or collect collaterals
3) Assist in the stocktake of our collaterals
4) Facilitate and encourage sexual health self-testing
5) Under the supervision of a case manager, provide befriender services to workers in distress
6) Assist in the compilation of monthly reports to our donors and funders
